balance-burnout Adjusting the publication schedule

Our publication schedule is slowing down for the next few months, but back to our regular schedule in March.

Technically We Write is proud to support the professional and technical writing community. Everyone does professional and technical writing, no matter your role. Technical writing is not just for “technical writers.”

And the articles and guides that you share with us help our many readers to gain new skills and learn about new writing technologies. We’ve shared 400 of your articles since we first launched the website in 2023. We recently celebrated our community by collecting several of your popular articles into two books: Perspectives in Technical Writing shares the experiences of different technical writers via a series of interviews, and Technical Writers Yearbook highlights several popular articles about technical writing practices and tools.

We are committed to being there for our community, and we look forward to sharing many more of your stories, how-tos, and other articles with the community. This is an exciting time in technical writing, and we are thankful for our supportive and dedicated community.

But we wanted to let you know that we’re adjusting the publication calendar temporarily for the next few months. Our editor, Jim, recently published a book about Technical Writing for Developers, and is working on a new book about technical writing history. This new book requires a lot of research to work out the details, and Jim needs the extra time to work on it.

For January and February, expect to see just one article published each week at Technically We Write. We’ll return to a more frequent publication schedule in March.

In the meantime, if you have an article you’d like to share with us, let us know! We’re always excited to share your stories. Contact us to get started.
